We did it!
Another successful DEATH TRANSIT campaign! Thanks to all of you for making this possible. As I said in my DAY ONE video, none of this is possible without you. I've made creator-owned, self-published comics my absolute priority in the last few years and that only works when people like you show up to support it. So thanks again for this amazing ride.
What Now?
What now? NOW I finish up the last little bits of the comic (primarily the colour back-up story) and then get this book off to the printer! It's largely complete, so I expect to get it printed in early July and then start packing and shipping shortly after that!
I'll also be ordering all of the posters, cards, sketchbooks, etc. that will be bundled with your comics, and I'll post pictures of those as they come in because it's fun. :)
Some of you are familiar with Backerkit, some of you may not be. It's a third-party service I'm using to help me organize fulfilment of my Kickstarter campaigns. All of the packages are signed and boxed and shipped from my studio, but Backerkit helps me with creating spreadsheets to simplify the process. You'll be receiving a survey in the next month or so that will confirm your reward choices and your shipping address. You'll also be able to download all of your digital rewards from there. AND...
Shirts!
Yes! All of the details regarding your T-shirt sizes, colours, and design choices will be handled through Backerkit. I'll collect the information and the shirts will ship separately from the comics and other rewards.
Credit Cards
Kickstarter will already have charged your credit card upon the completion of the campaign, but in the event that your card was declined or expired, they'll send you an email about it. Watch out for these emails, because they can end up in spam folders and then I won't be able to send out your stuff!

WAGHH! I can't believe it's the LAST DAY of the CAMPAIGN!
It's been a busy thirty days! We funded on DAY ONE and it's been a pretty steady stream of Stretch Goals and updates since then! Speaking of which...
$60K STRETCH GOAL ACHIEVED!
I'm making your FREE POSTER DOUBLE-SIDED! One side will be the image of Tanager and Magpie you all voted on, and for the other side we're going all the way back to issue one for the MATTEO SCALERA 'AKIRA' homage cover!
If we get to $70k I'll upgrade one of the covers to a metallic CHROMIUM cover. But we're running out of time, so if you want to see that happen, tell some friends!

Every time I do a poll or survey asking about what you guys want on posters/shirts/cover, there's always a demand for more spaceships. Which I get! So this one is for you spaceship folks - a SCHEMATIC-style representation of Tanager's ship (still unnamed).

LETTERS COLUMN!
Another thing I keep forgetting about! Last issue we started DEAD LETTER OFFICE, the DEATH TRANSIT Letters Column! I print your letters in the back and answer a bunch of them - you know the drill. It's one of my favourite parts of old comic books, and WE WILL KEEP THAT TRADITION ALIVE!

We did it! The first DEATH TRANSIT T-SHIRTS are here!
Over 250 of you voted on the shirt designs, and the results were overwhelmingly in favour of the Jackal Skull motifs! It was so close, in fact, that I decided to make TWO of the designs available - the regular Jackal Skull and the winning Jackal Skull 'Vortex' version (I renamed it 'Vortex' because 'Swirl' sounded dumb.
Results were pretty close!
So here's how this will work...
I've made a new Reward Tier that comes with a copy of DEATH TRANSIT MAGPIE and a T-SHIRT...
But if you don't want to switch reward tiers, you can very easily just ADD-ON a T-shirt (or two, or three, or however many you want) from the ADD-ON options after you confirm your reward tier.
IMPORTANT: You don't need to specify size, colour, or design yet!
All of those details will be made available to you once the campaign has ended and I send out the Backerkit surveys. You'll be able to choose your exact size, colour, etc. and I'll use that information to order the T-Shirts and get them out to you.
The shirts will be printed remotely and drop-shipped from the printing facility nearest you, so they'll ship separately from the comics and also won't be tariffed! Yay!
This is the first time I've tried this, so please let me know if you have any questions!

VOTE on your Favourite T-SHIRT DESIGN!
I mocked up a few different options, but I can't pick a favourite so I'm leaving it to you. VOTE on the one you like best, or if you have a better idea, let me know! The winning option will end up in the Kickstarter campaign.
(These mockups are all on black and white shirts, but I'll have other colour options available once we decide on a design.)
I'm eager to hear what you all think! Keep in mind, the crazier we get with the shirt (different colour sleeves, all-over prints, etc) the more expensive it is to produce. So try to keep your concepts to single-colour, standard t-shirts.
